About Us
Shea Phillips, PharmD graduated cum laude in 1995 from Wake Forest University, earning a BS degree in chemistry and minor in biology, and moved to Charleston, SC, to pursue a medical degree. Upon the recommendation of a family friend, she applied to and was accepted by the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Pharmacy. After four years of intensive coursework and experiential training, Shea graduated as a Rho Chi Honor Society member with a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2002. She chose to stay in Charleston and was recruited as a retail chain pharmacist by the Eckerd Corporation. Eckerd merged with Brooks, which was later bought out by Rite Aid. In 2018 her Rite Aid store on James Island was closed. Throughout all the corporate turmoil, Shea steadfastly served the James Island community for 16 years. When the opportunity arose to open an independent pharmacy in the same vicinity, she jumped at the chance. Having spent countless hours in the past developing relationships with her patients, Shea wanted to reunite with her “extended family.”
